Margalla Hills Park Demarcate New Boundaries-CDA News
Islamabad: According to news reports, on August 7, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) finally began the long-delayed process of demarcating the Margalla Hills National Park (MHNP). To stop additional encroachments, Senator Sherry Rehman, Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, emphasized the necessity of a distinct demarcation of the National Park Boundary.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) reportedly gave the municipal organization a 60-day deadline in January of last year to mark the boundaries of the Margalla Hills National Park. The Senate Standing Committee suggested stopping illegal building and reevaluating the current rulings. Recently, the municipal organization in Sinyari started building boundary pillars to help with the Survey of Pakistan's efforts to establish accurate boundaries.
As soon as the Survey of Pakistan determines the places, the procedure of erecting the pillars will require effort and ongoing work, a CDA official disclosed. The name of the CDA official who released the ideas was kept a secret by the authorities. The CDA has placed around 150 pillars in Sinyari with the goal of finishing the entire project in two months.
