Cement Production Fell by 12% In the First 8 months of FY-23 

PUNJAB: Cement production in Pakistan decreased by 11.82 percent from July through February of the current fiscal year 2022–23 (FY23), falling to 28.163 million tonnes from 31.938 million tonnes in July through February of FY22. This is according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). (According to a news source)

Petroleum product production decreased by 9.43% as its indices fell from 98.63 in July-February FY22 to 89.33 in July-February FY23.


The production of high-speed diesel declined by 10.88 percent between July and February of FY23 and FY22, reaching 3.213 billion liters, according to the intermediate Quantum Index numbers (QIM) of the Large-Scale Manufacturing Industries.

Jet fuel oil increased by 15.48 percent from July to February of FY22 when it was 512.442 million liters, and it stayed at 591.745 million liters in FY23.

Kerosene oil's volume decreased by 29.95 percent from 92.395 million liters in the equivalent period of FY22 to 64.719 million liters between July and February of FY23.
