CDA Wants All Of The Construction On Margalla

ISLAMABAD: The Frontier Work Organisation (FWO) has been tasked by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Engineering Wing to finish out the final, minor repairs to Margalla Road, including the installation of cat eyes, road markings, and some asphalt work.

The CDA has written to the FWO, who is in charge of building Margalla Road from G.T. Road to D-12, requesting that the contractor finish installing cat eyes, installing road signs, and doing some asphalt work.

Additionally, CDA has instructed the contractor to finish the lane marking, signage, and construction work on the road in the last RD area in addition to enhancing the road's quality.

The contractor was also tasked with finishing the construction of the Shah Allah Ditta underpass approach roads, drainage work, retaining walls, historical and touristic signage, and drain cleaning.

It was originally a two-lane road, but the scope of work was later expanded to include three lanes on each side, according to PC-I.

A further 5 km of road is being built from sector D-12 to E-11, where an interchange is also being built, in the meantime.

This project is being carried out by the CDA under a different tender. The project, which costs about Rs3.9 billion and includes an interchange in E-11 as well as five culverts, is intended to be finished in 6 months. Under the guidelines of the Public Procurement Authority (PPRA), the National Logistics Cell (NLC) was given this project under section 42(F) of the rules.

یہ اصل میں دو لین والی سڑک تھی، لیکن PC-I کے مطابق، کام کے دائرہ کار کو بعد میں بڑھا کر ہر طرف تین لین شامل کی گئیں۔

سیکٹر D-12 سے E-11 تک مزید 5 کلومیٹر سڑک بنائی جا رہی ہے، جہاں اس دوران ایک انٹرچینج بھی بنایا جا رہا ہے۔

یہ منصوبہ سی ڈی اے ایک مختلف ٹینڈر کے تحت چلا رہا ہے۔ یہ منصوبہ جس کی لاگت تقریباً 3.9 بلین روپے ہے اور اس میں E-11 میں ایک انٹرچینج کے ساتھ ساتھ پانچ کلورٹس بھی شامل ہیں،
